Marlies Stonig is a Computational Biologist and Data Scientist with expertise in data-driven analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and molecular biology. She holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry as well as a Master’s degree in Data Science, combining a strong interdisciplinary background. Prior to her doctoral studies, she gained six years of experience in research and development in the pharmaceutical industry. Her doctoral research focuses on sex differences in cardiovascular disease, applying sex-specific drug-target Mendelian randomization approaches to investigate blood pressure regulation and identify potential targets for personalized prevention strategies and to address disparities in clinical guidelines.
